ALTER(CORPUS) is a collaborative performance reflecting on notions of femininity, intimacy, desire and the repressed self. Inspired by sexual practices and paraphernalia, we propose a shared experience of complicity and disinhibition to explore hidden personalities and desires. In preparation for the performance, and in an exercise of self-awareness, each of us will construct her own alter ego; using objects of beautification, body modification and play (wigs, makeup, prosthesis, tattoos, piercings, etc.).
